We all love flannels, am I right? Warm, cozy, soft, and comfy. If an article of clothing falls into any of those categories, it instantly has staying power in my closet. But before we go on…do you notice anything different about me? I’ve got some new digs for my blog! I hope you love the new blush and rose gold set up, because I feel right at home here! Definitely let me know in the comments what you think of the new site!
It just started getting cold here, so I’m finally able to pull out my cozy clothes and live my best life. I just picked up this cozy Bass flannel and I am in love with it. It’s soft, just the right thickness, and warm. Flannels are really a necessity, and I’m going to tell you why!
What is it about a flannel that makes it perfect for cold weather? I can tell you…it does everything. Flannels can be a jacket on an unseasonably warm day (I grew up in southern California, so a flannel is pretty much all you need for a winter coat). They’re also the ultimate layering item. You can wear it over a light tee, or under a chunky sweater. You can layer one under all of that plus a parka with boots if its really cold. Flannels are the perfect balance between outdoorsy and fashionable.
I mean, I can give an example of how versatile these are. In the past 24 hours, while prepping and writing this post, I’ve worn it out on the town, at home blogging in the evening (bra-less, of course…that’s the first thing everyone else does when they get home, right?), and in the morning as a little jacket over my pajamas. Flannels really are the best winter clothing item.
MY FAVORITE FLANNELS
If you don’t have flannels (or two, or three, or four) you’ve got to get on it! I’m truly obsessed with Bass flannels for women AND men (easy perfect gift alert!). My husband has about six Bass flannels and loves them. By far his favorite flannel! I linked the pretty green Bass flannel I’m wearing here, but also wanted to share another favorite flannel from Bp. at Nordstrom. I have both of these in my closet right now (each in multiple colors)!
How do you like the new blog look? I’m so excited to share it with you! Be sure to catch up on my Florence Travel Diary and my Rome Travel Diary. Also, I styled my Favorite Fall Peplum and gave you a little Instagram Roundup last month.
Get excited…the holidays are here, and I’m already researching how to make your Black Friday shopping smooth and seamless (because ain’t nobody got time for THAT).
