Would I even be a fashion blogger if I didn’t find a pumpkin patch to take a picture in? I think it’s a requirement. Like the high council of fashion bloggers would kick me out if I didn’t, so here I am.
Just kidding, I think, but seriously I do love myself a good pumpkin patch. They’re kind of a rare thing for me…I grew up picking up pumpkins from the grocery store (which was great, because I was only interested in cutting them up into jack-o-lanterns). Now, I’m slightly less into the pumpkin carving, and much more into the anything fall. Pumpkin spice is my jam, so I’ve gotta make some room for the actual pumpkins, right?
Let me tell you…trying to find a good pumpkin patch was weirdly challenging. That’s how you know we don’t typically go to pumpkin patches…this was a tough hour of our lives LOL. We stopped at one, which seemed pretty crowded, so tried to go to another one…and the ground was ENTIRELY BLUE TARP. I won’t call out which patch it was, but it was SO not festive. Like killed my vibe. I had started getting excited about walking around a pumpkin patch, so this was a big let down. We got no good photos there, but I thought I’d share the only okay one (and it’s of me goofing around).
My husband is a saint, because I wanted to give up and go home, but he insisted we go back to the first one. I’m so glad we did, because I got to get into those fall feels at a cute pumpkin patch. He always helps me to stick it out when I’m feeling down, he’s the best.
Anyway, Shel and I finally snapped these photos and looked for mini pumpkins…I mostly like the mini ones, so those tend to be my favorite for fall. I like to put them all over the apartment for a little decor. We didn’t find any (bust), but good thing I picked up some metallic pumpkins from Target (similar to these glitter pumpkins) for cheap, so the apartment is a little festive!
I wanted to quickly share this super cute fall look, perfect for October. Think of it as a chic yet festive honor to the orange and black of Halloween. I love anything peplum, and the peplum tee (this is a similar one from Free People) is a perfect look for this last week of heat before the rain comes here in the bay area. I also love this striped peplum tee from BP. for fall. I’m wearing my favorite Madewell skinny jeans with this because they are literally the most comfortable jeans I have. They hit perfectly at a higher rise and stretch just the right amount. They’re the BEST.
I’m still obsessed with these Vince Camuto booties for a transitional look. They’re open toe and pretty darn comfortable! The come in a close-toed option in black and olive green. I love these because they are on the Western trend for fall, but they are not over-the-top. I was not excited about the Western look, but these booties are still chic and will be trendy for seasons to come.
I’m wearing this sweet and sparkly statement necklace to add a pop of fun to the look. I always love adding a little sparkle to any look! I got this black bag in Italy, but I found a dupe for under $30.
Have you started Christmas shopping yet?! YOU HAVE TO! I’m putting together a post about how to prep for the Christmas shopping mania, and how to get EVERYONE on your list covered without breaking the bank. I’m so excited to share my resources with you and help you make this holiday season low stress and successful, because I know that NONE OF US have got time for that.
Catch up on the blog! Read about my favorite Halloween movies (not all of them are super scary!) to get you in the mood for Halloween on Tuesday. I also have and Instagram Round Up on the blog about my favorite looks of the past month. I’m thinking about making that a monthly feature, what do you think? I also blogged about our trip to Rome…it’s a good thing to catch up on, because I’m going to posting all about Florence in a few days! And read my first make up feature on Milk Makeup…they even re-tweeted me, so if the brand liked the post, I know you will too! Finally, don’t forget that mules are the shoe for fall and get yourself your favorite pair!
I’m starting to put together some exclusives for my email subscribers…be sure to get on the list so you don’t miss them!
